I’ve just uploaded a new cartoon video to YouTube about a new booklet I’ve just released called The Skint Expat’s Key To English. Check out the video here if you like:

Or else you can go into Amazon Kindle and find the book.  It’s available as an ebook, and you can order a regular copy, but the ebook is cheaper.  Or just check out the video.  This one is only a couple of minutes long.  I’ll do another longer cartoon project, once I have the time and a decent idea that I think I can pull off.

For now, that’s about it.  Thanks for reading.

The book looks great! And you’re getting better at these cartoons 😉

Wow, thanks! That cartoon I just threw together in several minutes. Maybe it’s getting easier for me? Maybe I need to stop overthinking the cartoons? I dunno, but I’ll keep the overthinking thing in mind. I don’t have a target audience for the book; I just produced it as sort of a promotional thing. I am thinking about writing another one for new English teachers, though. Many of them don’t really understand grammar points (like present perfect – we use it all the time, but why? And how the hell do we use it, and oh yeah, how exactly is it different from the past simple? Oh, and if it talks about the past, why is it called PRESENT perfect?? I’m good at this stuff, so it seems like a good idea. We’ll see how it goes.

By the way, I have drastically lowered the price of the book. I didn’t realize that I had priced it ridiculously high. The ebook is now US$2.99, and the printed version is $9.00. So there you go.

ABOUT THE SKINT EXPAT

I have been an expat for more than 30 years now. I’m originally from the United States, though at this point that hardly matters. In that time, I’ve played music with bands and recorded and released solo music, I’ve been an English teacher for most of that time, and now I’m doing a blog about all of it.
